.Now the one award of the year that some fans like or could care less about. It does matter for struggling teams or any team that would have hopefully got the right pick for the year. They could trade the player or keep him in hopes of a potential superstar. The draft this year was pretty satisfying throughout the first 15 picks but the 4 picks I want to focus on are the top 4 Karl-Anthony Towns, D'angelo Russell, Jahlil Okafor, and Kristaps "Porzingod."
Just from looking at statistics it would seem that Jalil Okafor's doing very well and he is. The thing with him though is that he is on a very bad team, with currently only 3 wins. Right off the bat you can tell Philly is putting all there eggs in to Jahlil's basket. He getting 30 mpg, minutes that all-stars usually get. D'angelo is fitting right in with the Lakers and their other young players. I don't think he will be getting the award but that doesn't mean he is doing bad it's just that he is being overshadowed by Kobe. Karl-Anthony Towns is probably my second favourite out of the 4 because he is playing really well with the other young players on the wolves. He is a great pick for Minnesota and with a league with very few big men. Now Kristaps is my favourite with his amazing posters and also being an all-around player. I would love to see him and Carmelo in the playoffs if they make it.
In conclusion my top 4 for the top 4 picks in the league are 1. Kristaps 2. Towns 3. Jahlil 4. Russell.
